Will joined ICMM in June 2021 as a Programme Support Officer for a one-year placement during his undergraduate degree, and re-joined as a Programme Officer in September 2023.
Will holds a degree in Human Geography from Durham University. His final thesis focused on the drivers and obstacles to the adoption of the Circular Economy for US Rare Earth Element Acquisition, particularly highlighting legislative and political barriers. His studies also enabled him to explore contemporary geopolitics, global development challenges, and resource geographies in the drive for a just transition.
At ICMM, Will assists both the Environmental Resilience and Innovation teams, with a keen interest in the systematic changes that are presented in his core projects: the Circular Economy, Nature and Mine Closure.
