Owen Newton

Owen Newton recently joined ICMM in August 2022 as a PSO. He is working with the Innovation team on Tailings, Circular Economy, Health and Safety projects and also with Environmental Resilience for Climate Change.

Prior to joining ICMM, Owen just finished his second year at Newcastle University where he studies Earth Sciences. After his placement at ICMM ends, he will be returning to finish his degree and graduate with an Integrated Masters. Owen’s expertise and interests are in the more geological, scientific side of mining - aiding in his cooperation with the Innovation projects.
