Katie Osborne
Programme Officer
Katie joined ICMM in June 2019 as a Programme Support Officer for a one-year placement during her undergraduate degree, and re-joined as a Programme Officer in August 2021.
Katie has a degree in Geography from the University of Brighton. With a particular interest in human geography. Katie's dissertation researched usage and nature of need of food banks by families with children in Brighton, with a particular focus on state welfare systems and the impact of Covid-19. Her studies also included Environmental Impact Assessment, community engagement, and social and cultural geographies.
At ICMM, Katie is responsible for Artisanal & Small-scale Mining (ASM) and works on Mine Closure, Human Rights & Indigenous Peoples, and Mining Standards & ESG Reporting.
