Emma Marsden joined ICMM in 2022 as nature lead. In addition to leading our work on nature, Emma will also be working across the water and closure projects.
Emma joins us from the Science Based Targets Network where she led their technical communication and product development work with a focus on science-based targets for nature. She has also worked in-house for Britvic plc developing and executing their corporate climate action strategy, including the delivery of a verified 1.5 degree science-based target. Prior to that she spent four years with Deloitte on their Sustainability team working across assurance, advisory, analytics and workshop delivery with a focus on the mining sector.
Emma has a BA MA in Natural Sciences from Cambridge and an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College – and true to her passion and dedication for forest protection and restoration – she has just completed her certificate in Tropical Forest Conservation and Restoration from the Yale School of the Environment.
