Dana Cartwright

Senior Manager - Climate and Innovation

Dana joined ICMM in June 2023 and is a Senior Manager for the Climate and Innovation programmes. Her focus areas include the Innovation for Cleaner, Safer Vehicles (ICSV) initiative, climate change, health & safety, tailings innovation and circular economy. 

Dana started her career in environmental regulation in the United States, focused on multi-stakeholder approaches to watershed management, before moving to the oil and gas industry for the last thirteen years. Dana gained significant experience from the field to the board room in social performance, environment, health & safety, and sustainability roles in varied and complex operating environments, as well as corporate roles managing climate and sustainability risk, assurance, and disclosures for various frameworks.  She holds a strong belief that collaboration, innovation and multidisciplinary perspectives are the key to addressing today's most pressing environmental and sustainability challenges.

Dana holds an MSc in Nature, Society and Environmental Policy from Oxford University, with certification from the Global Association of Risk Professionals in Sustainability and Climate Risk Management. She holds a bachelor's degree from Lafayette College in the United States in Geology and Anthropology & Sociology.
