ICMM MERAG and HERAG publications promoted at SETAC World Congress
ICMM and a number of partner associations, under the collective MERA (Metals Environmental Research Associations), were Principal Sponsors of the recent SETAC 2008 World Congress in Sydney.
Taking the opportunity to convene a themed half-day session at the event, speakers from the industry along with respected academics highlighted significant recent advances in environmental risk assessment for metals, particularly the incorporation of bioavailability concepts as outlined in the MERAG (Metals Environmental Risk Assessment Guidance) document.
Our sponsorship also provided the opportunity to showcase material at the SETAC exhibition. There was significant interest in the work being carried out with over 200 participants requesting copies of the MERAG document alone.
