IUCN World Conservation Congress
The IUCN World Conservation Congress, hosted by the Government of Spain, will be held in Barcelona from 5 – 14 October 2008.
The objective of the event is to share ideas, actions and solutions for a diverse and sustainable world. The conference is expected to attract up to 8000 of the world’s leading decision makers in sustainable development: from governments, NGOs, business, the UN and academia.
ICMM’s Chris Copley will participate in several panel debates centring on the topic of mining and biodiversity, and she will present the Spanish version of the ICMM Good Practice Guidance for Mining and Biodiversity.
