Gold Fields sustainable development reporting recognized in two separate awards

Gold Fields has been ranked first in the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) Top 100 Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index (CDLI) by the global Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP). In 2010 Gold Fields was joint first and this year it was the sole winner.

At the same time the JSE rated the company as one of its most consistent performers in its socially responsible investment (SRI) index for five years running. This was in the high environmental impact category and makes the company one of only six consistent best performers for five years running.

The CDLI ranks companies listed on the JSE in South Africa on their disclosure of carbon emissions. The global CDP organization annually ranks 5,000 companies in 60 countries according to their disclosure of carbon emissions.
