ICMM members recognized for excellence in corporate reporting
Gold Fields has been awarded joint-first place in the Ernst & Young Excellence in Corporate Reporting rankings for 2011 in South Africa.
The company was selected for providing reliable and relevant information in its annual report.
Anglo American and African Rainbow Minerals were also listed in the top ten, while AngloGold Ashanti, Anglo American Platinum, BHP Billiton and Lonmin were recognized as excellent.
The survey reviewed the annual reports of the top hundred companies listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange.
South Africa recently became one of the first countries to require that companies produce integrated reports.
