Xstrata scoops PwC sustainability award for best reporting practices
ICMM member Xstrata has been awarded the 2010 Building Public Trust Award for Sustainability Reporting in the FTSE 100, by accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers.
The award analyzes the depth and relevance of sustainability reporting offered throughout publicly available information.
It recognizes the integration of sustainable development considerations into the business model, wider market and governance structures, as well as the development of relevant indicators and systematic performance monitoring.
As a member of ICMM, Xstrata has committed to its Sustainable Development Framework, which comprises a commitment to public reporting and independent third party assurance in line with the Global Reporting Initiative.
