Russian biodiversity good practice publication launched in Moscow
ICMM's Ben Hedley launched a Russian language version of the ICMM publication Good Practice Guidance for Mining and Biodiversity at the 3rd annual Mining and Exploration Business Forum (Minex) event in Moscow which ran from 3 - 5 October.
Speaking at the PricewaterhouseCoopers Masterclass for EHS engineers and Directors on 5 October, Ben introduced the new document and presented on key topics for the mining industry including;
- Managing Biodiversity at Different Operational Stages
- Good Practice in Pre-feasibility and Feasibility stages of Project Evaluation
- Integrating Biodiversity into Operations
- Closure Planning & Implementation
- Rehabilitation planning and implementation
The main goal of Minex is to assist Russia with the development of efficient mining and exploration industry through networking, consultation and technical knowledge transfer.
