6th International Copper Conference
ICMM Program Director John Atherton presented at the 6th International Copper Conference held in Toronto from 25 - 30 August.
Speaking at the Symposium on sustainable development, environment and health & safety, he introduced the concept of materials stewardship as set out in the ICMM publication “Maximizing Value” and described the business case for implementation as well as the supporting ICMM activities.
This was the first time the program had a series of sessions on sustainability issues and the presentation was received well by other speakers and the audience.
