ICMM Safety and Health Conference presentations available online

ICMM organized an international conference focusing on safety and health on 14-16 November 2006 in Johannesburg, South Africa. It was attended largely by leaders and managers working in the mining and metals industry. The program included experiential learning seminars covering all aspects of safety and health, with a particular emphasis on behavioural safety and safety systems. More than 300 delegates attended the conference.

For ICMM to organize such an event is testament to the importance of the issue, and also of the willingness of our membership to share good practice for the benefit of all. Its unique format meant that it was an exciting event that should result in teams within companies being inspired to change how safety and health are managed in the industry.

The presentations that were given at the conference are available for downloading below. In a few cases, authors have not given permission for their presentation to be made publicly available.
