IMF support for Resource Endowment initiative
ICMM's multi-stakeholder Resource Endowment initiative was launched two years ago in partnership with the United Nations (UNCTAD) and the World Bank. It reached beyond the "natural resource curse" debate and focused on what works and does not work within poor countries that have generated broad socio-economic benefits from mining investments.
Findings and recommendations were presented to the IMF on 30 June by Dr John Groom (Resource Endowment Working Group Chair) and Kathryn McPhail (Principal, ICMM).
