Mining Partnerships for Development: Position Statement
Mining: Partnerships for Development is a global initiative to enhance mining’s contribution to development and poverty reduction through multi-stakeholder partnerships.
ICMM member companies have committed to seek partnerships among companies, governments, NGOs, donors and international organizations, across six priority areas:
- poverty reduction,
- revenue management,
- regional development planning,
- local content,
- social investment and
- dispute resolution.
This commitment is set out in the Mining: Partnerships for Development Position Statement. Position statements are binding on ICMM company members as a part of ICMM’s Sustainable Development Framework.
