Materials Stewardship: Eco-efficiency and Product Policy
Metals are highly durable substances that, in theory, can be recycled indefinitely with no degradation in properties.
Materials Stewardship: Eco-efficiency and Product Policy explores the relationship between three concepts that are being applied to help exploit and assess these benefits in the real world - materials stewardship, eco-efficiency and product policy.
By understanding the interrelationship between these three concepts, the mining and metals industry will be better able to:
- identify opportunities for improvement in production and,
- increase understanding of the attributes of the industry's materials by those managing downstream processes and products and by policy makers who influence their use in society.
