Cerrejón and the Tabaco Relocation Committee reach an agreement

Cerrejón Coal (jointly owned in equal one-third shares by ICMM members Xstrata, Anglo American and BHP) have recently reached agreement with the former Tabaco community and the NGOs that previously attacked the Cerrejón operation over many years. This is the result of an independent third party review and reflects the commitment made by all three shareholders and the independent management team at Cerrejón to tackle a historic and severely conflicted situation, caused by resettlement.
