Four new members join industry leadership body
ICMM’s CEO-led Council has welcomed two new company members - Lihir Gold and Barrick- and two association members - Camiven (the Chamber of Mines of Venezuela) and the International Molybdenum Association.
ICMM’s growing membership ratifies its commitment to raising the industry's sustainable development performance.
In joining ICMM, Lihir Gold Limited CEO Arthur Hood said, “As a leading gold producer LGL must be accountable for the social, economic and environmental impacts of our business, and ensure that we are fulfilling our responsibilities in each of these areas. Through our ICMM membership we look forward to working with other leading mining companies to make a positive and enduring contribution to societies where we work in long term sustainable development.”
