2. Decision-Making

  • Share

Integrate sustainable development in corporate strategy and decision-making processes.

ICMM members commit to high standards of performance, and recognise the value of having business partners that share our commitment to responsible business practices.

The performance expectations

Developed with extensive input from NGOs, international organisations and academics, our Mining Principles establish baseline performance expectations for a responsible mining and metals industry. These two requirements define ICMM's decision-making performance expectations of company members.

  • 2.2: Support responsible business partners

Support the adoption of responsible health and safety, environmental, human rights and labour policies and practices by joint venture partners, suppliers and contractors, based on risk.
