Senior Programme Officer
Antonia joined ICMM in 2020 as Senior Programme Officer, after having managed the Global Tailings Review (GTR) process, co-convened by ICMM, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI). She is currently leading ICMM’s research on resource governance and social progress.
Prior to the GTR, Antonia was a Manager in the Mining, Oil and Gas Governance team at an international development consultancy providing technical assistance to governments globally. In this role, she led legislative reform programmes in Sierra Leone on behalf of the World Bank, and in Mongolia, on behalf of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). She also supported mining policy development efforts in Georgia and Papua New Guinea, and in 2017 she led the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) validation of 17 countries across the globe. In the early stages of her career, Antonia worked for a grassroots environmental NGO Global Greengrants Fund.
Antonia holds an MSc in Environmental Policy and Regulation from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and a BA in Economics and Politics from University of Exeter.
