Mining and Biodiversity: A collection of case studies - 2010
ICMM’s 2010 edition of case studies is a snapshot of how field experience and good practices have developed since ICMM first started working on biodiversity: from our engagement in a Dialogue with the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) in 2004 and a publication of case studies to the 2006 release of Good Practice Guidance for Mining and Biodiversity.
The 2010 case studies indicate that growing attention to biodiversity by ICMM members – and by the industry as a whole – is accompanied by the appearance of increasingly structured approaches to managing company impacts.
